Accommodations & Grounds

The Inn at Stonecliffe offers rooms in the renovated Tudor-style mansion and the Summer House, with many units providing views of the Mackinac Bridge and the Straits of Mackinac. The property spans extensive grounds that include an apple orchard, herb garden, bee hives, and a grotto for quiet reflection. Guests can access nature trails directly from the hotel and use complimentary lawn games and hammocks scattered across the lawns.

Dining

On-site dining includes The Straits fine-dining restaurant, which serves gourmet meals crafted by Chef Joseph Nardo, a chef with experience at Michelin-rated restaurants. The Backyard offers wood-fired pizzas and BBQ dishes, including a brisket/gouda pizza and jerk chicken with rice and peas. A general store stocks snacks and beverages, and complimentary s'mores kits are provided for the fire pits.

Family & Activities

The hotel schedules complimentary daily activities such as pizza-making classes and crafts for children. Two pools are available: a family pool and an adults-only pool. Bicycles can be rented on-site for island exploration, and the hotel provides complimentary carriage rides for check-in and check-out.

A free hourly horse-drawn shuttle runs between the hotel and Shepler's Ferry dock during the day. Paid carriage taxis ($11 per person each way) and on-site bike rentals provide additional options for getting around.
